Setting Up a Company in Dubai - Profound UAE

Dubai is the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it is the most populated city in the Middle East. The population is approximately 2.5 million people, of which about 1.6 million reside in Dubai city. Dubai is the UAE's premier business city with a wide range of employment opportunities. Dubai is the financial and business hub.

Dubai has the highest life expectancy in the UAE and is home to a number of high-tech and luxury projects, including the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and largest shopping mall, the Dubai Mall. Dubai is a city rich in history, culture, and tradition. Dubai attracts millions of tourists each year, mainly from the Middle East and Europe.

Dubai is not a place you can just turn up and start doing business. First and foremost, you need to qualify for a visa before even thinking about setting up shop in the UAE. You can apply for a Business Visa, a Visitor Visa, or a Work Visa. These are the three main types of UAE visas, and company registration in dubai each has its own set of requirements. Once you have a business visa, you can set up your own company or start working for one of the many business parks in the UAE.

If you're starting a business in Dubai, chances are you're going to be paying some of your salary in taxes, and if you're not, you probably should be. A small freezone company business in Dubai has to pay a 10-percent corporate income tax on their first Dh40,000 ($11,000) of profit. That means you'll pay tax on any profits above that. And every year, you pay an additional 5-percent corporate tax on any profits above that.
